How It's Made
Memorial jewellery at Nicky Robin is crafted using quality sourced materials. We specialise in creating beautiful ashes jewellery using cremation ashes, hair or fur in remembrance of a loved one or a beloved pet. and can even create any of our pieces using horsehair for equestrian jewellery. Our cremation ashes collection include charms, earrings, bracelets, lockets, rings, pendants and a range designed especially for men. We have also expanded our range to include personalised engraved jewellery created to capture names and messages, fingerprints, hand and footprints, drawings, soundwaves and handwriting. We are also working hard to be as sustainable as possible, to ensure the impact on our environment is a positive one, starting with our eco gift packaging.
Crafting Of Ashes Jewellery
The process of making your memorial jewellery is always carried out respectfully, with full understanding of how precious the individual who has been lost is to the recipient. Every piece of jewellery is crafted with care, paying close attention to the details and handling the ashes or hair of the deceased with precision and skill.
We require only a small amount of ashes or hair in order to make the jewellery (you will be sent a free inclusions pack with full instructions and all the tools required to send in your ashes, hair or fur to us). Upon crafting your jewellery the ashes, hair or fur is blended with your colour of choice to create a durable polymer piece which has a bright, glossy appearance. The polymer used to make each item retains its sheen, and also helps to protect the ashes or hair within, again acknowledging how precious these materials are.
The ‘for him’ range uses sterling silver or stainless steel, offering a slightly different aesthetic which is no less impressive. By taking into account the specific wishes of each client, every order is custom made and provides a distinctive way to commemorate the deceased while keeping them close in a beautiful piece of jewellery which is unique to the individual.
Due to the fact that every piece of jewellery has been crafted, customers can rely on the great attention to detail that is poured into each piece.
Appearance And Design Of Ashes Jewellery
There are a variety of stunning colours to choose and the finished product is not only durable to damage and wear and tear, but also UV resistant – making it suitable for everyday wear. This will be particularly important to those who want to keep their loved one close after they have passed or gift a unique keepsake to others who have lost someone dear to them. Once completed, the ashes or hair are safely and permanently stored within the jewellery.
