FAQ's

 How do I place my order?

Simply place your order on our website.  You can choose from a selection of beautiful designs and 22 colours.  Once you have placed your order, we will post out your Inclusions Pack if you have chosen this method of sending inclusions to us, which normally takes around 2 - 3 days for delivery.  Once you receive your inclusions pack, follow the instructions enclosed in the pack and return back to us as soon as you are ready.  Once we receive your inclusions back, we will begin creating your jewellery.  Please allow up to 4 - 6 weeks to make your precious piece.  Processing times may change during busy periods, please refer to our current processing times noted within our homepage or on our pop up message above.  Your order will then be dispatched to you (we will send your order via a secure trackable delivery method).  You will be notified by email or text every step of the way.

How long will it take to make my jewellery piece?

From the moment we receive your inclusions back, we will begin the process of creating your piece for you.  Our processing normally takes up to 4 - 6 weeks (this can change so please check our homepage or pop up message above) and you will be notified every step of the way.  If there are any issues with your order, we will contact you immediately.

What are your delivery costs?

We send all UK orders Free of charge.  All orders are sent by fully tracked and secure method. For full delivery details please read our Delivery page.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through Paypal's secure payment system (you do not require a Paypal account to make payments with credit and debit cards).  We also accept Paypal payments.  All payments must be made in full before we can send our inclusion packs or begin to process your order.

What happens if my item is faulty?

All of our jewellery pieces are thoroughly quality checked before dispatching. If you find that your item is faulty upon delivery, please contact us immediately to resolve.

What do you mean by Inclusions?

When we say Inclusions, we are referring to ashes or hair.  Inclusions can be anything that can be placed inside our special polymer.

What happens to my inclusions?

We treat ALL inclusions with the utmost dignity, respect and care.  We will only use what we need to create your jewellery and we will return any unused inclusions back to you with your order.  All inclusions remain in their sealed bags until we are ready to create your jewellery.

Can you keep my inclusions for future orders?

All unused inclusions will be returned to you with your order. 

How many inclusions do you need?

For ashes we only need 1 teaspoon full (spoon provided in our inclusions pack).  Any unused ashes will be returned back to you within your order. 

For hair, please fill half the bag provided in the inclusions pack.  Any unused hair will be returned back to you with your order.

Can I have my pet ashes or hair made into jewellery?

Yes, of course.  We can place your beloved pet ashes or fur into our jewellery pieces.

What are the inclusions set into?

Inclusions are permanently set into our special jewellery grade polymer that both UV stabilised and UV resistant, it is hard wearing so will not crack or smash.  

Can I include ashes or hair from more than one person?

Yes, we can do that for you.  Please add a note when ordering to let us know the details so we can send the correct number of inclusion extras in your pack.

Am I able to choose more than one colour?

Yes, of course.  We offer a custom colour option on every piece.  Simply add a note of your custom colour requirements when placing your order.

How do I care for my jewellery?

We advise you not to wear your jewellery when showering, bathing, doing housework and sunbathing and avoid wearing when using cleaning products, wearing perfumes and lotions.  If you wear perfumes and lotions, ensure they are completely dry before putting on your jewellery.  We include a FREE polishing cloth with every order that can be used in-case your jewellery does become slightly tarnished.  For major tarnishing we offer a repair service for a small fee of just £25 per piece.  Please refer to our Jewellery Care  page for further details.

Do you accept commissions?

Yes, we can make commission pieces for you.  Nicola, the owner, founder and jewellery maker at Nicky Robin can create custom designs from your request.  She will work closely with you to help with the process.  All of our jewellery pieces can be made with a custom design, for example colour combinations, photos, adding specialised materials in with your inclusions.  Nicola can also encapsulate inclusions and other materials into your existing jewellery or heirloom pieces to create a special memorial keepsake.  Timescales for commission pieces will differ from our standard Nicky Robin timescales as each custom piece is different from the next, each will have their own time frame to complete the work requested.  You will be advised of a completion date for your specific request.
